The successful Finance Assistant applicant will be responsible for maintaining an efficient and accurate finance function within the client's branch at Ely, Cambridgeshire. Day-to-day tasks involves bookkeeping activities, working in purchase ledger, to ensure that records, payments, and receipts are correct.

Description
Key responsibilities for the successful finance assistant:
- Processing Purchase Ledger invoices and credit cards including USD and EUR inter-company transactions
- Maintain accurate supplier records, reconciling supplier statements on a monthly basis
- Assist in the maintenance of an accurate schedule of direct debit payments for various suppliers
- Process Monthly supplier payment runs and ad-hoc runs were required
- General Administrative support including answering telephone queries and managing the purchase ledger inbox
- Posting and reconciling Credit Cards for inter-company accounts
- Update the cashflow statement on a weekly basis.
- Clear down Aged Creditors monthly
Profile
The ideal finance assistant candidate will have:
- Minimum 1 years' experience working directly in a purchase ledger role
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Great organisational skills
- Good at working to tight deadlines and under pressure
- Commercially minded
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and listening skills
- Strong communication skills
- Enthusiastic and team focused
