The successful Finance Assistant applicant will be responsible for maintaining an efficient and accurate finance function within the client's branch at Ely, Cambridgeshire. Day-to-day tasks involves bookkeeping activities, working in purchase ledger, to ensure that records, payments, and receipts are correct.

Description

Key responsibilities for the successful finance assistant:

  • Processing Purchase Ledger invoices and credit cards including USD and EUR inter-company transactions
  • Maintain accurate supplier records, reconciling supplier statements on a monthly basis
  • Assist in the maintenance of an accurate schedule of direct debit payments for various suppliers
  • Process Monthly supplier payment runs and ad-hoc runs were required
  • General Administrative support including answering telephone queries and managing the purchase ledger inbox
  • Posting and reconciling Credit Cards for inter-company accounts
  • Update the cashflow statement on a weekly basis.
  • Clear down Aged Creditors monthly

Profile

The ideal finance assistant candidate will have:

  • Minimum 1 years' experience working directly in a purchase ledger role
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Great organisational skills
  • Good at working to tight deadlines and under pressure
  • Commercially minded
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and listening skills
