Position Summary

The Technology Finance Decision Support Team is responsible for delivering service excellence across all Technology functions with ongoing management of the business relationship across both senior Finance & Technology stakeholders. Responsibility extends to business partnering with the Leadership team and providing all financial information to support the team in meeting its objectives and drive informed business decision-making.

This is a Finance Manager role, reporting into the Technology Decision Support Finance Director to support finance strategy through robust budget and forecasts with insightful analysis for decision making. The successful candidate should have proven ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment and lead a team to provide value added insight.

The role carries strategic support and expansive project management & data modelling oversight across a multitude of Technology wide workstreams ranging from end-to-end oversight of the budgeting cycle & primary finance business partner to the divisional FP&A teams. The role would be expected to manage relationships effectively and manage the financial models and effective communication of the appropriate outputs across a wide range of stakeholders.

LSEG Technology brings together our product development, operations, digital and business technology, cyber security, architecture, and technology program management groups.

The role is open to internal applications as a secondment opportunity.

Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
  • Technology Budget Process. Managing the initial concepts, UAT and managing the overall end-to-end budget cycle for Technology through initial partner engagement through to final budget submission & presentation to the Tech Executive Leadership Team.
  • Strategic Activities / Projects. Understanding complex budget impact Technology projects and provide analytical and financial modelling support alongside acting as the POC for budget impacting guidance.
  • Business Partner. Act as the primary partner to provide financial information and context to senior stakeholders to drive informed decision and fundamentally deputise for the Finance Director as required.
  • Transformation Management. Support the ongoing transformation of the FP&A function within the Technology divisions through ongoing system & process rationalisation given the continuing evolution of the merger of LSEG & Refinitiv.
  • Integration of Heritage LSEG and Heritage Refinitiv. Continue the work to bring the organisations together, identifying process simplification and improvements. Work with other members of the team to understand synergies and integration reporting

Technical/Professional Skills & Competencies:
  • Substantial amount of experience in leading change and a track record of effective communication and ability to influence stakeholders
  • Proficiency in working effectively and delivering results in a fast-paced, complex, dynamic, global business environment.
  • Work effectively in teams and across functions of the business
  • Demonstrate strong customer-focus with a commercial mindset, communication, and analytical skills
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects with competing demands for resource
  • Expert level with MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Open to flexible working applicants


Experience required:
  • Qualified chartered accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with extensive post qualified experience, which includes accounting and business partnering activities (budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, strategy evaluation, analysis and insight)
  • Knowledge and understanding of ERPs and other financial systems
  • Excellent financial modelling, planning and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment managing multiple priorities
  • Proven track record to interact with senior management
  • Demonstrated ability to provide business partnering support
  • Excellent use of Microsoft office packages, PowerPoint, Excel/ Power BI/Query, Word and other BI tools
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues globally
  • Time-zone overlap with global stakeholders and counterparts, as warranted
