Responsibilities

  • Support with warehouse period closes, ensuring all journals are posted by WD1 and any major variances have been investigated and can be explained.
  • Responsible for Warehouse weekly financial reporting - ensuring all material variances can be explained to line manager.
  • Responsible for the control of all Purchase Orders & Invoices for Ambient Logistics Warehouse, ensuring that all processes are in place, foster a close relationship with all key suppliers to ensure that service and prices are as required and take care of all invoice queries. Superuser for MyBuy (PO system) and responsible for Warehouse GRNI - goods received not invoiced.
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Support in the preparation of AOP (annual operating plan) budgets and forecast build for warehouse sites - (c£45 million).
  • Support line manager in GCS/SOX agenda - ensuring all controls are performed with clear evidence for Internal and external auditors.
  • Support engineering team on capital project closures.
  • Responsibility for pallet costs - full ownership of reporting and analysis.
  • Cover for TMS Administrator as and when needed.
  • Support Ad-hoc projects required by Management Accountant.

  • Qualifications

  • ACCA/CIMA part qualified or relevant Finance degree, with a clear willingness to complete the qualification.
  • Consistently works against the right priorities.
  • Pro-active in asking questions when required for key decisions.
  • Ability to work on own or with little supervision.
  • Communication skills at all levels.
  • Organised and ability to self-prioritise.
  • Good team player.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
  • Ability to make standard period accruals and prepayments with no supervision.
  • Double entry booking keeping experience essential.
  • SAP experience would be beneficial but not essential.
