Financial Accountant

This is an outstanding commercially focused Financial Accountant position covering the Australia & New Zealand region working with a highly successful and global market leader listed on the NASDAQ.

Description

Reporting to the Financial Controller, your responsibilities will include:

• Manage Generating financial reports that display the company's profits, equity, and cash flow
• Examining bank statements and reconciling them with general ledger entries
• and complete month end activities and ensure output in an accurate and timely manner
• Preparation of leases according to IFRS 16
• Period balance sheet reconciliations of selected asset and liability accounts
• Assisting with audit requirements
• General ledger maintenance
• Journal and month-end processing
• Balance sheet reconciliations (and year end reporting)
• Variance analysis of all bank statements and balance sheet accounts
• Any other ad hoc duties that arise

Profile

The successful candidate will have proven experience of minimum 3 years in a similar Financial Accountant role, along with the following attributes:

• Experience within a large organisation (manufacturing industry will be ideal)
• CA/CPA qualified or working towards
• Intermediate Excel skills and strong computer literacy
• Knowledge of SAP ECC 6.0 (essential)
• Strong financial and communication skills
• An understanding of a shared service environment would be desirable but not required
