Assurance External Auditor (Senior)

Job Description:

• Confers with other team members to create audit plans. This includes risk assessments, the audit approach, and the detailed audit program.

• Executes audit procedures.

• Ensures quality in delivering client service by directing daily progress of fieldwork, and informing supervisors of engagement status.

• Reviews the work of staff to ensure completeness, accuracy, and proper documentation. Provides daily guidance and coaching to staff and helps mentor, develop, and evaluate them. Adapts audit approach as needed to reflect changes in the client environment.

• Follows through on client requests in a timely fashionmanagesanage expectations regarding the timing of deliverables and reports.

• Develops and maintains productive working relationships with client personnel and assesses client satisfaction.

• Identifies engagement and client service issues. Researchbenchmarkmarks client data to industry data.  Explthe ains client’s critical success factors to the engagement team.

• Archives audit engagements timely and in compliance with firm policy.

• Discusses moderately complex accounting and auditing issues the with engagement team and client management. Analyze evidence, reach conclusions, interpret and apply standaand rds, identify non-compliance while applying a balanced view of all client matters.

• Complies with all applicable firm policies and guidelines and other professional standards.

Benchmarks client data to industry toer to make possible recommendations for improvements.

 Supervisory Responsibility

Assists staff and interns in reaching their full potential by training and developing them and serving as a positive role model and mentor, willingly addressing questions, contributing constructively as a coach, and providing timely on-the-job feedback.

Education and Expereince:

• Undergraduate degree in accounting. CPA, CGA, ACCA, or an equivalent accounting designation
• Approximately 2-3 years' experience working as an auditor for a public accounting firm and particular business/industry experience to meet special needs.
