An opportunity has arisen for a Head of Finance to join a high-growth Tech SME based in central London.
Client Details
My client is an innovative Tech SME with <£10m TO. They foster a diverse and inclusive culture and work from the office 2/3 times a week. They are based in central london.
Description
Some core responsibilties for the Head of Finance include:
Strategic:
Work with the CEO on the strategic vision including accurate forecasting of revenue and costs and cultivating stakeholder relationships
Partner with the commercial and client teams to ensure complex business opportunities are accurately priced and profitability ensured with all legal documentation in place
Working with the CEO and Board to assess PE/VC opportunities and a possible sale or merger of the company in the coming years.
Financial Control:
Own and implement the annual budgeting/forecasting process to ensure accurate revenue related budgets and reporting are in place alongside accurate management information and profitability of the business
Be involved in the management, coordination and production of all fiscal activities for the organisation including revenue/expense monitoring, balance sheet control and reporting
Responsibility for the processing of the monthly payroll
Monitor all banking activities of the organisation including the production of monthly
reports e.g. financial statements and cash flow projections
Production, review and monitoring of the Group's tax position, HMRC submissions, and
Year End filings
Build, develop and support the finance team
Profile
The successful Head of Finance will have the following credentials:
Fully qualified accountant is essential (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
Exceptional knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods, with a track record of driving results through effective financial reporting and driving efficiency and profitability
- Experience budgeting/forecasting in an SME
Must have experience in taking a finance function forward such as processes and operations
Previous experience of Xero is an advantage
Experience of working alongside PE/VC in a growth setting is a huge advantage
Experience of working in start-up/scale-up brands in the technology/consultancy sector would be an advantage
Job Offer
Basic salary £70,000 to £80,000 + bonus/benefits & hybrid working
