Key Responsibilities

A master data specialist typically has a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:

Monitoring trends in customer information to determine if changes are needed.

Creating data models that can be used to organize and structure data for easy retrieval and analysis.

Monitoring data quality to ensure that information is up to date and accurate.

Ensuring that all records are stored in a secure location to prevent unauthorized access.

Designing data structures and models to support business processes and operations.

Designing and implementing solutions that leverage big data technology.

Providing training on data management best practices to employees who use the system.

Developing reports that identify patterns in data to help organizations make decisions about current operations.

Establish and oversee global data governance policies and ensure alignment and consistency.

Using MDM suite of tools to design, develop, optimize and support MDM for various domains.

Ensure that Master Data Management key performance indicators (KPIs) are attained.

Working closely with functional and technical teams in developing and enforcing Master Data Design.

Leading/assisting in data migration activities for importing legacy data.

Key Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in similar position (Preferably in a Shared Service environment).

University/College Degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent technical discipline.

Possesses strong analytical and critical thinking.

Good command of English (both verbal and written).

Office knowledge – very good excel skills.

Experience with process documentation will be an asset.

Good communication and analytical skills and ability to lead the team.
