APAC Finance Controller

An APAC Controller role whereby you will have extensive engagement with business leaders, finance controllers and operational stakeholders across Asia Pacific. This organisation services a broad range of customers and is largely a B2B organisation. They are headquartered in Europe and have over 100 years experience operating within their field. They are well established in Vietnam, and are the dominant player within their industry across Asia Pacific

Description

This position will support the Regional CFO with budget analysis, reporting & strategy. The key requirements of the role include, but are not limited to:

• Working with operations to deliver 100% compliance and to protect from any business risks.
• Successful implementation of controls/processes to address internal and external audit findings.
• Statutory and legal requirements complied with accurately and on time.
• Balance sheet metrics achieved with any issues identified early through regular reviews (all entities to be reviewed at least twice a year).
• Submissions to regional/group finance accurately and on time.
• Ensure all deadlines are met and liaise with 6+ controllers from the broader APAC area
• Ensure all external and internal reporting aligns with the standards set by group

Profile

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and stakeholder skills. In this role you will be working with leaders from different countries from around APAC. Previous experience managing relationships outside of Vietnam will be highly regarded. You must have a strong technical understanding of accounting principles, specifically IFRS. A qualification with ACCA, CPA, etc will be favourable.

You will be working in a fast-paced environment so an ability to manage competing deadlines will support your efforts.

A background working in Big 4 will be highly regarded.
