Senior Accountant

The client are a fast growing luxury retail brand that are based in the West End (Mayfair) and are looking for a permanent Senior Accountant to join the team. The successful candidate will take full control of the day-to-day finance operations for the company and the role is sole-Accountant role based in the Mayfair office (however will work alongside the wider finance team of 8 based in the Head Office).

Client Details

The client are a luxury retail brand that have grown very quickly over the last few years. The finance team is made up of approximately 8 people, and now that the main location (store) is expanding, they are looking for a new Senior Accountant to take control of the day-to-day running of the finances. The role is based in the West End (Mayfair) and the successful candidate will be working in a brilliant office environment with the chance to really take control of the position (and make it their own). They are looking for an experienced Accountant to manage all the finance tasks, from supplier invoice processing to head office reporting on a weekly and monthly basis.

Description

The successful Senior Accountant will:

• Producing the daily flash reports for the head office
• Oversee the transnational process within the business - Accounts Payable and Receivable ledgers
• Process the supplier and customer invoices into the system (Sage)
• Working closely with the Sales team to manage and solve any queries with the debtors
• Monthly reporting for the head office
• VAT returns
• Petty cash management
• Inter-company reconciliations and returns
• Stock reconciliations
• Weekly and Month-end sales and stock reporting

Profile

The successful Senior Accountant will:

• Have 2-3 years of prior experience working in a similar role
• MUST be okay to work one Saturday a month - this is done on a rota months in advance and the day will be gained back in the week
• Happy to work 5 days per week in the office (based in Mayfair)
• Working hours are 9.00 to 18.30
• Have previous experience working in the finance team of a retail or FMCG company (highly desirable)
• Have a working knowledge of the system Sage (Essential)
• Have strong Excel skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Be confident and a good team player
