About the Entity: J.P. Morgan SE is primary subsidiary for JPM Chase in the European region with its headquarter in Frankfurt, Germany and branches in 14 other European locations. From Regulatory reporting perspective, the entity is supervised by European Central Bank (“ECB”), European Banking Authority (“EBA”) and the Bundesbank(“BBK”) and the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (“BaFin”).

About the Team: The role is within the J.P. Morgan SE Capital  Monitoring & Regulatory Reporting team (CMRR) one of the high profile function within the Finance function of the entity. The team overlooks production and oversight of all the regulatory reporting related to Capital Reporting and Local Regulatory Reporting. The team is a multi-cultural team based in Frankfurt, Luxembourg, Bangalore and Warsaw.

Position resides in Finance CMRR Warsaw location and will report to the Oversight team lead based in Frankfurt.

We encourage candidate with good experience in controls & oversight framework to join Associate role in JPMSE CMRR in Warsaw.

Job responsibilities

  • Ensure effective controls and oversight over the production of regulatory reports prepared by the team as well as provide support in production cycle on the following Regulatory Reports:                              
  • COREP Own funds, Leverage Ratio, Large Exposures & FRTB along with Large exposure Wavier template
  • MREL
  • Annual Basel 3 Monitoring Exercise
  • Quarterly Short term Exercise
  • Further responsible to address ad-hoc request from internal  or external stakeholder.                
  • Control Environment                     
  • Develop and maintain a robust control framework in order to deliver in the best possible quality and meeting global Policy for external Reporting.
  • Enhance the Production Operating Model and develop process Tools with efficient documentations
  • Identify potential process for simplifications with adequate controls.
  • Process efficiency in Regulatory Tools                                                 
  • Work in coordination within the CMRR team on improving data sourcing and efficiency.
  • Work with projects, CAPRI team and Axiom team to implement solutions and new regulations.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills                          

  • 5 years of professional experience in Finance or Regulatory Reporting
  • Good practical knowledge of Capital Rules (CRR,CRR2, Basel Accords) and systemic implementation of disclosure/ reporting requirements
  • Critical eye and demonstration of improving processes and controls
  • Strong communication skills, excellent command of English
  • Ability to critically review and challenge numbers/ strong analytical skills
  • Flexibility to work under pressure to meet changing work requirements and strict deadlines
  • Proactive and self-starting individual with high levels of ownership
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Excel, Access, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint            

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills                                                

  • Accounting Qualification within Financial Services industry (either Bank or Practice)
  • Familiarity with other reporting and disclosure requirements like  FRTB, IFRS, USGAAP, Financial Reporting
  • Working knowledge of banking products (Repurchase agreements, securities, derivatives, deposits, loans, credit facilities)
