Finance Manager

As a Financial Manager you will play an important role leading the finance team to complete accounting assignments across two plants.

Description

Ensuring accounting services are aligned with finance and business needs

Ensuring timely processing of transactions relating to financial accounting

Month-end accounting activities such as reconciliations and journal entries

Preparing and analysing financial records

Ensuring that a thorough process is followed for balance sheet accuracy

Reporting to Group via the group consolidation system

Preparing VAT returns and other reporting to tax authorities

Preparation of statutory annual accounts

Leading the external audits and ensuring that information is provided in a timely manner in order to meet reporting deadlines

Challenging, supporting, coaching and explaining the financial concepts and processes to non-financial employees

Raising Red Flags when required and initiating follow-up corrective actions if necessary

Utilising and sharing leading practices through interaction with other parts of the Group

Participating in any other ad hoc projects as deemed necessary

General financial support to the organization

Profile

5+ year's experience working within a manufacturing environment

Qualified/part qualified/qualified by experience accountant (CA/ACA/ACCA/CIMA)

Work to strict guidelines for reporting deadlines

IFRS and SAP working knowledge

Strong communicator and team leader

Advanced knowledge of excel spreadsheets

Fluent in English

Good all round IT skills
