KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Member of a professional accounting body and/or a bachelor’s degree in finance, business management, or a related field.
  • Good understanding on ERP system and knowledge of SAP system is preferred.
  • Minimum 5-year experience in finance department with 3 years at the managerial capacity.
  • Knowledge in SLFRSs and Governance with experience in financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytics skills with specialization in finance analytics and understanding of regulations relevant to the finance industry.
  • Written, oral and presentational skills and communicating effectively with non-finance staff.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for financial reporting and planning function of the organization in relation to the guidelines, directions and standards laid down by the regulators and strengthening Internal Controls over financial reporting and transaction processing.
  • Publication of financial statements as per CBSL regulations and Coordinate the Company’s annual audit with the independent auditors.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting & transaction processing across the organization and and recommends actions based on analysis of results as and when required.
  • Manage monthly closing process, including reconciliations and analysis of related accounts & provide analytical insight during monthly financial close process.
  • Time and accurate preparation of budgets and forecasts and Responsible for financing arrangements with lending institutions.
  • Guiding, motivating and supervising finance staff and arrange Training to on their career development.
