As Divisional Financial Controller you will lead the management accounting team in the division to produce insightful monthly results to aid decision making. You will also be responsible for leading and developing newly formed divisional teams alongside new technology to standardise processes and improve efficiencies. You will also on board new acquisitions into the division.

My client is a Private Equity backed business who are market leaders in their field. They have experienced a significant amount of growth over the past few years both organic and via acquisition. The business has a great track record of recruiting high calibre teams and promoting them quickly throughout the business.
You will need to travel between the sites of the new acquisitions.
Description
- Overall responsibility of P&L, Cashflow and Balance Sheet actuals on a monthly basis
- Developing and driving efficiencies in the month end process across the Division
- Ensure team structure, roles and processes are in place for all brands
- Presentation of monthly results (P&L, Cashflow) to Divisional Board and Group team, including completing accurate and insightful commentary for inclusion in Board and Investor reports
- Review of monthly reconciliation of balance sheet and control accounts to sign off
- Lead the divisional annual audit process (for all entities in the division) including the preparation of end of year accounts files and audit schedules, providing any requested information in a timely manner and being the go-to person for the audit and Group team
- Overall responsibility for Divisional Cashflow and Balance Sheet forecasting
- Liaising with Commercial Finance Team to ensure that forecast assumptions (including P&L) stand up to scrutiny and provide commentary on key assumptions / changes
- Cost control with broader finance team to;
- Regularly track costs versus budget and prior year
- Challenge budget holders regarding spend and proactively identify opportunities and risks associated with the cost base
Profile
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant
- Manager of large team with a variety of skill sets and experience within the team
- Strong attention to detail
- Decision maker with confidence to make a call
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
