VAT and Tax Officer

This is a full time post, based in Liverpool with remote working options available. The role itself would be reporting directly to the Group Head of Tax and working closely alongside the Finance Team to monitor transactions. This is a temporary position, and we hope for the successful candidate to start as soon as possible.

Description

The key responsibilities for the successful candidate will include;

• Calculating VAT, Tax and CIS returns
• Providing advice and support to the wider team
• Ensuring transactions are compliance
• Posting and monitoring payments
• Liaising with auditors and the organisation's VAT and Tax Officers
• Implementing processes to ensure VAT and Tax compliance
• Managing the companies relationship with HMRC

Profile

The ideal candidate for this position will be able to provide a specialist insight into VAT, Tax and CIS regulations and will be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of HMRC processes to help implement good practices for the wider finance team. A background in a similar position will be beneficial, along with strong IT skills and hands on experience within transactional finance.
