The opportunity

Within Assurance Service Line, Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) Team provides advisory services including Accounting and regulatory support for accounting change and special matters; accounting processes and controls support (remediation, long-term contract accounting and cost accounting); GAAP Conversion and implementation; IPO and other public offering assistance, financial reporting advice and transaction accounting and financial reporting assistance.

We are looking for an experienced professional to join EY FAAS team to help drive growth and support delivery teams and bring subject matter expertise in Finance Transformation solutions. As part of the team, you will gain cross-industry experience working on projects for large multi-national companies along your senior colleagues.

Your key responsibilities

The Senior should be competent to manage a portfolio of clients and be responsible for the timeliness and quality of the work as per EY Global Standards for our FAAS team. The role requires technical knowledge of IFRS/US/UK GAAP or local GAAP along with well-developed communication skills

  • Financial statement Support.
  • Financial statement preparation and GAAP conversions.
  • Drafting and designing accounting policies.
  • Technical accounting research and adviceon Accounting topics.
  • Financial statement Consolidation support.
  • Financial statement close process support that includes monthly closing activities..
  • Transaction accounting support.
  • Handle financial aspects of companies planning to list in an IPO.
  • Manage the complete accounting in a acquisition, merger or demerger of company including the calculation of purchase price allocation.
  • Assist managers in leading a team of professionals in carrying out given assignments.
  • Coach your younger colleagues.
  • During the projects you will manage your daily tasks independently, cooperate with other EY team members and communicate to client’s personnel.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Strong communication skills in English and at least good (B2) communication skills inGerman.
  • University degree with specialization in accounting, finance or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in audit, consultancy, accounting services or in a large and dynamic organizations in or around the finance field.

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • ACCA, CPA, PIBR or any other relevant qualification in progress.
