Manager CDD Model Governance and Data

Are you interested in a position that focuses on minimalizing risk? Read on! In this role you will take on responsibility for the continued enhancement of KYC risk models within the bank. As the CDD Risk Model Owner you will ensure the CDD Risk Models comply with the latest CDD Standard and are tuned and enhanced to fully cover the CDD risks globally.

The Manager CDD Model Governance and Data also guarantees that all Onboarding and Client Data Management processes are compliant with regulations, and in doing so ensures DLL is consistently improving CDD data quality.

Day to day:

CDD Model Governance

  • Model owner for the CDD Risk and Client Screening Models within DLL and ensure that they all adhere to the latest CDD Standard of the bank;
  • You are responsible for a team that:
    • ensures that there is an appropriate AML or other Anti-financial crime coverage by improving existing models to mitigate existing or future ML or Financial Crime risks
    • Develops models to mitigate financial crime and Money Laundering risk. You will be supporting the end-to-end model development and implementation process.
    • Assesses if the CDD Models are still aligned with the current legislation, with DLL policies and with the Risk appetite of the bank.
    • Is responsible for maintaining and updating AML model documentation, maintaining, and updating procedures and processes related to AML systems optimization methodologies, AML risk coverage assessments and calibration/tuning execution procedures
  • Voting member of the Risk Model Committee;
  • Responsible for setting up and maintaining the CDD risk model framework including the governance processes and establish procedures for future changes.
  • Ensure that the requirements of stakeholders and CDD-policies are translated into appropriate and feasible model solutions and incorporated efficiently
  • Work with DLL Risk Analytics to conduct regular CDD Risk Model testing to ensure the model is meeting the latest CDD standards.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely the model review results with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage and update the Model Risk Management Policy, committee charter, procedures, guidelines, template, etc. periodically (at least annually) to be inline with prevailing regulatory guidance and expectations as well as with industry practices
  • Manage the administration of the Model Risk Oversight Committee to ensure that all participants engage and provide effective challenge
  • Connect to the various locations and establish a global CDD risk model community which maximizes the knowledge on CDD risk globally;
  • Accountable for the finding management process related to the CDD Risk Models.
  • Reporting on model management matters to relevant stakeholders.

Data Management

  • Responsible for the creation and implementation of a global strategy for CDD data management and quality.
  • Responsible for CDD data across the chain from source systems to ROCK. This requires close coordination with the country network to ensure the required data is delivered according to global requirements
  • Guarantees that all Onboarding and Client Data that is delivered is compliant with legislations and regulations.
  • Together with the countries resolve CDD data issues in the chain from country source systems to ROCK.

Essentials:

  • At least 3 years of experience as a risk model owner. Also experience as a risk model analyst, validator or similar role
  • This role requires you to be in our Dutch office in Eindhoven at least twice a week. We are open for candidates living in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany. If you are open to relocate to The Netherlands that is also an option.
  • Academic background/level (e.g., mathematics, statistics, data science, econometrics)
  • Affinity for data science / advanced analytics
  • Familiarity with model risk assessment and management
  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining risk models
  • Affinity with technology, innovation and quantitative methods
  • 5-10 years’ experience in 1st Line FEC management roles
  • In depth understanding of financial economic crime compliance requirements of the WwFT.

Extras:

  • Master’s Degree in Science, Finance, Business, or a related subject.
  • ACAMS certification or equivalent
