Are you ready to work in the second line of defense for the top global wealth manager? Can you build relationships and influence outcomes as well as develop and implement innovative solutions? As a key member of our Compliance & Operational Risk Control (C&ORC) team in Global Wealth Management (GWM), you'll be responsible for working with our Chief Compliance Officer, Bank Compliance Officers (BCOs) and the Compliance Monitoring & Testing team, in the Group Compliance, Regulatory & Governance (GCRG) function. Specifically, you will:

• lead the annual review of compliance risks associated with the deposits and payments business lines, and evaluate and advise on new initiatives, business objectives, processes, risk events and controls
• partner across the business to determine process requirements to ensure that we adhere to consumer protection laws
• strengthen and ensure resilience in deposits and payments Compliance Management System pillars and report to management across the business regarding deposits, payments and FDIC insurance compliance matters
• interact with federal and state banking regulators and internal auditors, and provide guidance and advice to the business deposits group regarding changes in laws and regulations impacting UBS Bank USA
• advise executives on key compliance and conduct risks, and actions required to mitigate risk and escalate any potential concerns

Your team
C&ORC is part of the GCRG function. The GCRG function is the center for compliance and operational risk control, governmental and regulatory affairs as well as investigations and governance matters. C&ORC aims to ensure that all compliance, conduct and operational risks are understood, owned and managed to our risk appetite. We are responsible for providing independent oversight and control over the compliance and operational risks arising from our business activities at a global, regional, divisional and entity level.

Your expertise
• a Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) or higher is preferred
• ideally 10+ years of compliance experience in a banking institution, regulatory agency or major consulting firm, with specific focus on deposits, payments and FDIC insurance as well as experience with digital banking platforms and services, including online/mobile
• experience in leadership, both in terms of people as well as projects and initiatives, strong strategic, judgement and integrative thinking skills, risk management and risk assessment knowledge, strong organizational, communication and influencing skills
• strong knowledge of applicable banking laws/regulations, specifically, Reg DD, Reg CC, Reg D, 12 CFR 328, 337, 370 and 364; Reg E, Reg II, Reg J ,UDAA, Reg P and Reg W
• strong knowledge of applicable regulatory guidance
• broad understanding of financial products including securities, banking products, advisory and managed programs and how they are distributed to individual clients
• structured, rigorous, analytical and thorough in your approach with the ability to form defensible conclusions from risk assessments and testing results
• able to articulate views, assessments and approaches, precisely, concisely, logically and accurately
• excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to challenge the business, and a desire to help us properly manage compliance and conduct risk
