This exciting opportunity with Santander will be at the forefront in shaping the data analytics strategy and overseeing the production of analytical solutions that support data driven decision making to existing business problems, supporting our purpose to help people and businesses prosper.

As an important member of our team, you'll focus on leading the development of new controls and dashboards, automation of current processes, implementation of best practices and standards, complex data analysis, and improvements to current systems.

The difference you'll make.

  • Leading complex data analysis tasks for critical projects.
  • Ensuring internal control and governance practice are always adhered to.
  • Designing and development of complex self-service purpose-built solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Ensuring all developments are UAT tested and fully rolled out to stakeholders to enable maximum benefit, and ensuring fixes are in place within agreed SLAs to minimise operational & cost impact.
  • Developing and training of other team members in key technical areas.

What you'll bring.

  • Excellent SQL skills, including Transact-SQL and Hive/Impala.
  • Strong knowledge of project management (including Agile) and business analysis methodologies.

It would also be nice for you to have.

  • Knowledge of cloud technologies including AWS and Snowflake.
  • Experience of data visualisation, management, and modelling.
  • People and technical leadership.
  • Programming or scripting experience.

What else you need to know.

This role offers hybrid working with an expectation to travel to the one of the Santander Head Office locations twice per week.

This position is offered on a 12- month Fixed Term Contract basis.
