Client Details

A medium sized business based in offices in the W. Byfleet area with free parking provided and easy access via public transport.

Hybrid working - 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

Description

The Assistant Management Accountant (HYBRID) role involves:

  • Preparation of month end journals covering standing journals for standard recharges.
  • Reconcile and prepare journal for Stock requisitions
  • Maintain records associated with charging of Fleet vehicles, including updates to system allocations, fuel charges, parking and leasing costs. Assist Fleet with Adhoc requests and reports from Finance system.
  • Provide analysis of employees and vehicles to Contract Managers to support monthly review.
  • Month end contract reviews on group of smaller contracts including preparation of P&L, accrual and adjustments postings and attending reviews with Contract Managers to agree numbers with non-financial managers.
  • Month end Balance Sheet reconciliations plus calculations of Debtor days & Creditor days.
  • Key analysis for month end reporting pack on monthly work in progress (WIP).
  • Maintain and role forward monthly reporting packs P&L in Excel.
  • General support on forecasts & budgets, including data uploads to Access Financials.
  • Other general ad hoc and audit queries.

Profile

The ideal candidate for the Assistant Management Accountant (HYBRID) role will;

  • Be an active CIMA / ACCA / AAT studier
  • Intermediate management accounting experience / understanding
  • Good communicator. Be able to explain financial data to non-financial colleagues.
  • Good Excel skills.
  • Prior knowledge and experience of using database finance systems.

Job Offer

The Assistant Management Accountant (HYBRID) role offers a base salary of £30-36,000 + study support.

Job Type: Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:00 (37.5 hrs p/w)
