Our partner is a leading conservation organisation; they are seeking a senior finance professional to provide financial oversight and supporting in strengthening the capacity of the country finance teams in the Asian Pacific region. This is a one year maternity cover.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight on the finance departments of country offices, reviewing proper coding and reporting of all expenditures; balance sheet activity; cashflow management.
• Support the country programmes where there are resourcing requirements in the finance functions.
• Provide oversight on compliance, ensuring that the organisation is compliant to local compliance and regulatory requirements, and the requirements of the global office.
• Undertake an audit and assessment of every country office, making and supporting in the implementation of recommendations.
• Support in developing the finance teams. This includes supporting with recruitment, annual reviews of finance staff and in coaching and capacity strengthening as required.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant with at least 10 years of experience in a progressively senior accounting & financial management role with an INGO.
• Strong demonstrable background and experience of assessing, building and strengthening controls, processes and systems; compliance; financial accounting & reporting.
• Grants management experience, specifically of institutional donors including European Union, USAID, World Bank and UN Agencies
• Team management and team building experience
• Able to be hands on, manage a varied workload and different regional requirements effectively.
• Excellent IT and systems skills.
• Willing to travel

This role is a 1 year fixed-term maternity cover. The role will be based in Singapore with significant travel in the region.
