Are you interested in a position that focuses on the continued enhancement of the Transaction Monitoring models within the bank. As the Transaction Monitoring Model Specialist, you will ensure the Transaction Model complies with the latest standard and are tuned and enhanced to fully cover the transaction risks globally.

Day to day

  • As a Transaction Model Specialist, you will ensure that there is an appropriate Anti-financial crime coverage by improving existing TM models to mitigate existing or future ML or Financial Crime risks
  • Supporting ongoing standardization and continuous improvement in TM Model Management organization, framework and processes.
  • Develop models to mitigate financial crime and Money Laundering risk. You will be supporting the end-to-end model development and implementation process.
  • Providing operational and continuous oversight over DLL’s TM Model and related Model Life Cycle processes
  • Maintaining insights in how TM is organized across the DLL country network
  • Assess if the TM Model is still aligned with the current legislation, with DLL policies and with the Risk appetite of the bank.
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating TM model documentation, maintaining, and updating procedures and processes related to systems optimization methodologies, AML risk coverage assessments and calibration/tuning execution procedures.
  • Prepares Model change control documentation.
  • Providing input for prioritization and planning regarding TM model maintenance, validation and enhancement
  • Be a key player in the measuring of the performance and tuning of DLL’s TM risk rating and client screening models. This position will participate in model reviews and validation
  • Maintaining a close relationship with relevant stakeholders such as the model developer, Compliance and the Business.

Essentials

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience required obtained in 1st or 2nd line AML compliance with an emphasis on AML model management and AML model optimization in a financial institution of a similar size.
  • Experience with translating regulatory requirements into functional designs and/or processes around TM controls.
  • Must have detailed knowledge of AML/CTF and Wwft as they relate to a commercial financial institution.
  • Must possess a working knowledge of Transaction Monitoring risk rating systems, maintaining system documentation, system reporting, tuning and optimization.
  • Familiarity with model risk assessment and management and proven experience in developing and maintaining risk models.
  • Ideally, you have some experience with change management and presenting your ideas to stakeholders
  • This role requires you to be in our Dutch office in Eindhoven at least twice a week. We are open for candidates living in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany. If you are open to relocate to The Netherlands that is also an option.
