Business Area/Dept Overview

Performance Management is a sub unit of Finance function, responsible for Management reporting, Annual budgeting and analysis of Bank Financials by Business lines and Functions.

The team is responsible for providing value added analysis to the senior management , review their financials and raise any red flags vs Budget /Forecast.

Job Purpose

As part of the BNPP UK Performance Management team, lead and independently manage the:

  1. Monthly accurate and timely reporting, analysis and review of the Expenses and Headcount of UK CIB and Group Functions (Compliance, Finance , Legal , IG , Risk , B&C, General Management , Digital etc)
  2. Annual & Dynamic Budget /Forecast process
  3. maintain a good working relationship with the heads of Functions by regularly engaging with them , providing value added analytics and relevant reports
  4. Implementing and ensuring the relevant accounting controls and standards are in place and adhered.
  5. Drive to support senior Stakeholders , challenge business owners

Core accountabilities of role

  • Performance Management
    • Independently lead and manage the reporting and analysis of the expenses (Direct & Indirect) & headcount in Actuals for BNPP UK CIB Functions and Group Functions.
    • Independently lead and manage the Budget process for BNPP UK CIB Functions and Group Functions.
    • Ensure that the CIB Management Accounting standards are implemented and adhered all times.
    • Regular monitoring and reconciliation of receivable (outsourcing) /payable (invoice accruals) for the above scope
    • Provide , review and present monthly expenses reports (Flash) for all key Stakeholders by organising regular meetings
    • Build and maintain a good working relationship with the heads of CIB Functions, Group Functions, and provide value added service and support.
    • Interaction and specific workshops implementation with the key stakeholders, as needed.
    • Regular engagement with the offshore team and review the tasks performed by them related to above mentioned scope

Participate to the team reorganisation, the improvement of our clients service by creativity, commitment and motivation

Knowledge, Skill and Experience

  • Professional qualification in Accountancy (CPA /ACCA required) or relevant equivalent experience
  • Extensive prior experience in managing similar roles in Banks
  • Good knowledge of Performance system systems (Vinci , SAP , Paradigm , Perseus)
  • Excellent PC skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
  • Proven ability to develop a synthetic view of performance problems, identifies root causes, and suggests corrective action plan.
  • Ability to work and interact with Functions and Business Line heads as well as with the Senior management and the Head Office stakeholders
  • Strong analytical/problem solving mind-set, with the ability and willingness to get into the detail to find solutions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. Able to work with and present to senior stakeholders.
  • Collaboration skills including the ability to integrate and act upon the diverse perspectives of business unit managers
