Head of Accounting - Da Nang Province

A newly created Head of Accounting position for a renewable energy company located in Da Nang Province. The organisation has just received significant investment and it is an exciting time to join the business.

Description

You are responsible for Head of Accounting that includes developing and managing accounting control systems to ensure that the company's accounting complies with accounting principles and other applicable laws in Vietnam and that financial and internal reports are issued accurately, promptly, and adequately. The job involves overseeing the proper and timely completion of accounting as well as the examination of related outputs.

• Ensure accounting and reporting monthly, be responsible for all Accounts Payables-related actions, such as vendor invoices, payments, contracts, etc.
• Review and enhance accounting and operational procedures with the necessary internal controls and safeguards
• Engaging with Tax consulting companies for all inquiries related to business, contracts, or operations.
• Ensure preparing financial reports for management in line with policies and procedures.
• Oversee the compilation and submission of corporate taxes, and guarantee timely payments
• Oversee a risk/control pack for internal audit reasons to make sure departmental procedures are followed, reporting any problems as part of ongoing improvement, but also seeing them through to completion.
• Be responsible for audit process, managing the process end to end from planning through to signing of accounts and spearheading the audit liaison in between with appointed auditors and tax advisors.
• Making sure the audit is completed on schedule and within budget.
• Create and distribute intercompany and balance sheet reconciliations to provide adequate control and the accuracy of the figures generated by the primary statements.

Profile

Based in Da Nang Province, this candidate needs to have a degree in accounting or finance as a minimum qualification and audit experience from a top 5 company will be a significant preferable for this job. Additionally, you must have a minimum of 5 to 7 years of accounting experience and have a track record of leading a small team. It is highly recommended for the successful applicant to have prior management experience working for both subsidiaries and their parent holding corporations. You also need to have a strong grasp of mathematics and be able to produce accurate work with a strong attention to detail and be able to take full responsibility for a problem until a successful resolution.
