Finance Business Partner Manager

Finance Business Partner Manager role responsible for supporting the Programme Finance Lead as the primary point of interface between Programme Teams and the Finance function. Your key responsibilities would include providing sound financial management the organisations projects and accurate donor reporting. Secondly, to work with programme teams to plan their resource requirements.

Description

• You will be in charge of leading a team of 2-3 Finance Business Partners (FBP) that will assist Program teams with the grant portfolio, maintain budgets under constant scrutiny, and provide frequent financial information and analysis.
• Working with the Programme Heads and the FBPs, provide monthly analysis and insight into the Program's financial status, identifying key risks and mitigating actions.
• Maintain the organisation's budget and re-forecasts for the specified portfolio of projects while adhering to agreed-upon organisational-level deadlines - through regular updates to individual projects and portfolio reviews with relevant budget holders.
• Ensure that the financial aspects, reporting, and audit requirements of grant/donor supported projects are in accordance with the contractual requirements of the donors.
• Examine the financial viability of new grant proposals and grant agreements. Assuring compliance with the organisation's plan and financial criteria for cost recovery and overheads.
• Directly support portfolio programs that are not assigned to an FBP, assume responsibility for cross-programmatic donors as needed, and work proactively with the Programme Finance Lead and the core Finance team to improve program finance processes and procedures.
• Ensure that money balances are reconciled against donor financial reports, as well as financial closure and full grant and contract reconciliation.

Profile

• ACCA, CIFPA or CIMA qualified accountant.
• Experience and knowledge of donor funding and compliance as wee as working with multiple currencies is essential.
• Experience of managing teams is essential.
• Demonstrable experience of financial administration of a portfolio of grants.
