Finance Analyst

We currently have a rare opportunity to join the FP&A Finance Team at OSTTRA during an exciting period of intense business and systems transformation. This is a great career move for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic, change environment to help design and implement new processes and reports; it will not suit someone who would prefer to operate established procedures.

Accountabilities will include:

• Being the key point in FP&A for all staff costs queries. Keeping the staff costs detailed planning model updated to produce a rolling forecast and being able to explain month-on-month movement and variance to budget

   

• Building close relationships with HR and finance contacts, both within Osttra and our external service providers (CME and S&P)

   

• Owning many of the month end processes for the Osttra finance team, including data loads to our reporting and budgeting tool (Prophix)

   

• Providing support for upcoming ledger and HR system (Workday) migrations; understanding the impact on the finance team’s processes and redesigning them as needed

   

• Ensuring all processes are properly documented

   

• Supporting the finance business partner and wider FP&A team with analysis and other tasks

   

Candidate experience and skills:

• Part qualified/recently qualified accountant preferred

   

• Inquisitiveness about the business, its financials and processes

   

• Ability to make practical proposals to improve processes, both within finance and other functions

   

• Proven ability to plan and prioritise own workload to meet deadlines

   

• strong communication skills to be able to explain processes and issues to colleagues

   

• Personable and professional approach given the need to interact with a wide range of stakeholders both in Osttra and our service providers

   

• History supporting a business operating under a matrix leadership structure

   

• Experience of working in a company undergoing large-scale change

   

• Experience of companies with operations in multiple locations and currencies
