Job Description

The Finance Officer reports into the Financial Controller of the Alter Domus Group Entities and provides quality accounting support for monthly and annual accounting processes, including:

  • Preparing and supporting monthly financial reports covering balance sheet, profit and loss and other ad hoc reporting
  • Management of the general ledger including overseeing the monthly balance sheet, bank reconciliation and inter-company reconciliations
  • Preparing entries such as monthly accruals, deferrals and journals
  • Assisting in the preparation of year-end statutory accounts
  • Supporting work with year-end audits
  • Preparation of the monthly and annual tax and VAT returns
  • Providing support, assistance and cover across the wider Group Finance team to manage team absences and peak periods, which may include hands on support and/or managing additional financial responsibilities

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or relevant accounting experience
  • ACCA or equivalent certification would be appreciated (we will support continuation of studies if part-qualified)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (French would be an asset, but not essential)
  • Proficient in the us of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong motivation to work in a challenging and dynamic environment
  • Possess a flexible and hands-on approach
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines under pressure, while maintaining close attention to details
  • Knowledge in SAP S/4 is an advantage
