We are looking for a candidate to join us as Assistant Manager - Fin/Acc (GL Ops). The incumbent will be responsible to handle month end closing activities for general ledger closing. He/ Sge will also assist in finance activities to setup new accounting posting and/or user requirement for new product launches and perform system or process enhancement as required to support business and regulatory changes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform timely and accurate month end closing activities for general ledger closing including month end journals, accruals, intercompany transactions, expense allocation
  • Reconciliation and update balance sheets schedules to reconcile to trial balance. Follow up with collection and clearance of any long outstanding balances
  • Perform balance review and highlight key variance
  • Prepare analysis on management expenses and payment analysis for review. Ensure controls in place for payment process. Highlight material variances and provide explanations on material exceptions.
  • Participate in product launches to the setup of new accounting postings, preparation of user requirement to comply with business, statutory and compliance requirements and perform user acceptance testing on system or process enhancement.
  • Perform and review intercompany charges including review and drafting of service level agreements, standard operating procedures and manuals
  • Perform tax submission including service tax submisison
  • Liaise with auditors. Handle audit queries and resolve audit issues

Key Requirements

  • Degree in Accountancy or other equivalent professional qualifications
  • At least 8 year(s) of working experience in related field and industry. Candidates with audit experience are encouraged to apply.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience in SAP and writing business user requirement will be advantageous
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken
  • Strong sense of commitment, teamwork and good interpersonal skills
