About the role

This position operates within a highly successful team of accounting professionals offering high quality services to a portfolio of clients with an emphasis on SMSF.

Joining a team that is both collaborative and supportive, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring the compliance obligations and administrative requirements of a portfolio of SMSF clients
  • Reviewing financial statements, electronic working papers and tax returns
  • Mentoring and training junior and support team members as required both in technical, software and operational matters
  • Maintaining client relationships with attendance at meetings as required and being the key contact for a portfolio of clients
  • Liaising with the auditors regarding technical and compliance matters
  • Providing technical SMSF guidance to internal and external stakeholders and adding value to your client portfolio
  • Actively contributing to our SMSF working groups to foster continual improvement, efficiencies and growth
  • Opportunity for real career progression as you will be the main point of contact between the offshore team and our stakeholders

About You

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in business services with a strong interest in SMSF compliance and technical aspects
  • Be CA/CPA qualified or undertaking study
  • Demonstrated experience using BGL 360
  • Excellent technical knowledge and skills
  • Ability to build rapport and be a trusted advisor to clients
  • Open to working with our Offshore team
  • Driven to succeed, motivated and a great communicator
  • Have a passion for Superannuation and advisory matters
  • A positive attitude and a great willingness to learn
