As a Manager or Senior Manager in our Public Sector Audit Team you will work hand in hand with the Directors & Partners to shape, lead and manage a newly created Public Sector Audit Team in England, capitalising on our extensive sector expertise within Azets in Scotland.

You will oversee all aspects of client engagement assuming overall responsibility for quality, commerciality and ensuring client service is maintained at a high level.

The majority of our Public Sector client base in England will be based around the Midlands and there is already a sizeable audit team in the Birmingham office which has grown substantially in the past 3 years since its inception.

You will be an advocate for always enhancing audit quality, whilst simultaneously taking an active lead role in sector development to ensure the highly ambitious growth targets of the team are achieved.

In addition, the right candidate will have the opportunity to shape the infrastructure required nationally to deliver our newly secured 5 year Public Sector contract worth c.£2 million. This will include supporting on all aspects of our audit business such as specific public sector audit training, quality management, compliance and resourcing.

The successful candidate will demonstrate an excellent working knowledge of IFRS, Value for Money and governance and will be ACA, ACCA of CIPFA qualified. You'll have experience of auditing clients within a variety of public sectors and the ability to manage a portfolio of clients whilst also ensuring successful contract management.
