As the UK Airports Analyst for TUI UK & Ireland your role will be to support the Airport Commercial Relations General Manager to analyse and track the performance of the bilateral commercial contracts negotiated with our UK & Irish departure airports, ensuring these are aligned to the tour operator’s commercial requirements.  Working closely with our Finance Business Partners, this role will bring together the use of historical financial data, detailed analysis of commercial offers and an understanding of tour operator capacity plans to ensure our bilateral UK Airport contract renewals and amendments are fully optimal.

The team are based in Luton, but at TUI we believe work is something you do not somewhere you go.  Therefore we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements for this role and the successful candidate will work a blend of office and home-working.

ABOUT THE JOB
 

  • Undertake detailed analysis of bilateral commercial contract offers for the UK & Ireland departure airports, including contracts for the provision of Premium lounges. 
  • Use historical passenger data and forward capacity plans, you will evaluate the complex contracts and support the GM Airport Commercial Relations to identify the financial levers required to fully optimise them. 
  • Be responsible for completing business cases for sign off with senior stakeholders.  You will work closely with Finance colleagues to obtain relevant data for analysis and ensure that live contracts are fully understood and invoices are raised for rebates in a timely fashion.
  • Track capacity on a monthly basis to provide reporting to the GM Airport Commercial Relations and other relevant stakeholders in relation to the performance of contract thresholds, highlighting both concerns and opportunities.
  • Working with the UK Fleet Planning Analyst, you will seek to optimise fleet basing decisions to maximise commercial opportunities.
  • Undertake ad-hoc analysis as and when required to support commercial negotiations as well as supporting system development / automation

ABOUT YOU

  • Highly analytical and numerate individual able to deal with complexity and ambiguity
  • Finance background preferred
  • Commercially astute, highly literate and IT competent with a keen eye for detail
  • Advanced excel modelling skills
  • Commercial / financial experience of airline operations / tour operations preferred
  • Understanding of airport operations and terminology preferred
  • Ability to influence and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Confident / self-motivated
