The Role

Business Analyst:

Business Analyst role supports Shell Tunisia upstream business, which is in the phase of relinquishing the concessions to government. Business Analyst will play an important role to ensure smooth transition. You will be working hand in hand with Finance in the business, Functional stakeholders and as well with local external parties to close the remaining various audits. This role will give you an in depth understanding of the Shell Tunisia asset and will give opportunity to gain experience in the liquidation process.

Where you fit in:

The position sits in the R&A Krakow team, supporting Shell Tunisia asset, reporting directly to Tunisia Lead/Country controller based in Krakow. The role is to be handled through close cooperation with the wider Tunisia internal and external stakeholders, including various offshore teams in FO. The scope of the role can evolve over time, to align with the business priorities and the progress of liquidation.

What’s the role?

Specifics of the role include:

  • Driving and supporting various audits, for instance partner, tax, social securities,
  • Overseeing Accounts Payable process,
  • Supporting actuals reporting, latest estimate and planning process,
  • Supporting Country Controller in statutory accounts preparation and statutory audit,
  • Supporting the liquidation process and close cooperation with local stakeholders,

What do we need from you?

  • Understanding of the Tunisia business and specifics
  • At least 5-7 years professional experience in Finance or Accounting
  • University degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent courses with experience
  • ACCA/CIMA/IFRS or similar post-graduate qualification would be beneficial
  • Experience in driving and supporting partner/tax/other audits
  • Experience in financial statements preparation
  • Excellent written and spoken business level in English
  • Very good knowledge of all accounting processes or previous experience in other departments within Finance Departments
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong communication and business partnering skills to be capable of developing effective relationships with stakeholders and business partners
  • Ability to work virtually in an effective manner
  • Ability to perform work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a dynamically changing and demanding environment, ability to quickly learn and adopt to new requirements and tasks
