Management Accountant / Hybrid / Brighton / Up to £45k

Client Details

My client is a small business based on the outskirts of Brighton City Centre. They are looking for a Management Accountant to join the business on a hybrid basis.

Description

As the Management Accountant, your role responsibilities will include:

• Production of monthly management accounts, including the processing of G/L journals, prepayments, accruals and fixed assets.
• Oversee intercompany accounting.
• Produce insightful OKR/KPI reporting, as well as revenue, overhead and cost variance analysis, ensuring value adding analysis.
• Business partnering with internal staff to help educate non-finance managers on managing their budgets and forecasts.
• Prepare quarterly VAT reporting, reconciliations ensuring compliance with all local HMRC legislation.
• Thorough completion and review of balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure a robust internal control environment, highlighting any control weaknesses and introduce process improvement initiatives.
• Assist with the preparation of year-end packs and annual audit.
• Preparation of departmental and ad-hoc reporting.
• Supervise and support the wider accounts team where needed.

Profile

To be successful in your application for Management Accountant, you should be:

• Part-qualified or Finalist CIMA/ACCA, or suitably QBE
• Extensive experience working in a Management Accountant capacity
• Strong Office and Excel knowledge
• Strong attention to detail
• A flexible approach to working with strong communication skills.
• Effective Business Partnering skills.
