Your new role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the UK Packaging Division as an Operations Finance Manager, based in either Featherstone, West Yorkshire or Belper, Derbyshire. Within the role, you will provide analysis and insight to support and challenge the business, whilst facilitating cost control and continual improvement in operational KPIs.

The Operations Finance Manager will understand and communicate where and how the business can create value, collaborating with site general management and looking at ways that they can improve operational performance. You will provide data and insight into key drivers that will help to influence decision making within the business. You will get involved with site level analysis to understand performance and you will be involved with the business reporting cycle including month end, forecasting, and budgeting.

The role will see you managing and supporting the understanding of product profitability and efficiency, and you will provide insight to help the team better understand the drivers of conversion costs. You will also assist with the preparation of investment activity programmes, producing the required financials and documentation to support projects, and helping to evaluate investments through pre and post investment appraisals.

What you'll need to succeed

We are looking for a highly motivated qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) with the confidence to influence business stakeholders. You'll be comfortable working in a fast paced environment and you'll have a strong understanding of financial management and reporting.
