As Associate - Finance at EY Global Delivery Services (GDS), Malaga, you will combine our financial objectives with your accounting and leadership experience to provide an effective and robust finance function.

You will actively involve yourself in the execution of the strategic planning for finance related matters. You will become part of a high-performing team, providing support and managing accounting and finance related activities

Functional Responsibilities

  • Perform the accounting transactions, including payroll, AP, billing/AR, GL etc,
  • Contributing to timely monthly closing process, accuracy of monthly results and timeliness and quality of financial plans and forecasts
  • Support in statutory accounting/audit/reporting/internal controls as well as reporting under IFRS for group consolidation purposes.
  • Taking care of treasury function, including cash flow forecasting and reporting, efficient working capital and cash management practices
  • Ensure timely compliance with all regulatory requirements (e.g. corporate law matters, income taxes, etc).
  • Participate in development of local financial and accounting policies and procedures aligned to Global policies. Ensure adequate internal control systems and processes commensurate with the operational needs.
  • Contribute in management of all tax obligations, including transfer pricing and other tax laws. Keeps up to date with new pronouncements and ensures all statutory requirements are met. Pro-actively seeks tax optimization opportunities to ensure that Global guidelines and ethical boundaries are respected.
  • Support in implementation of new processes/controls
  • Actively interface with other GDS location controlling leads to maximize knowledge sharing throughout the firm


Technical skills requirements
  • Knowledgeable in different financial reports like financial statements, general ledger, financial planning.
  • Accounting knowledge, Analytical skills, Knowledge of IFRS
  • In-depth professional experience, 1-3 yrs in a similar role preferably in the corporate Finance function of a Shared Services.
  • Professional Certifications e.g CPA, CMA, CAT, Six Sigma will be added advantage. Working knowledge of local tax and compliances
  • Working skills and knowledge of financial modules of ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle Financials etc).
  • MS Office Skills i.e. strong Excel Knowledge.
  • Highly analytic and keen sense for details and data accuracy.
