Assistant Accountant

Are you studying towards your ACCA/CIMA qualification? Have you had experience as an Assistant Accountant? Do you have 3-4 years' experience working within Finance? Do you have a good understanding and knowledge of double entry bookkeeping? As a result of continued growth, I am currently working exclusively with one of my key clients on the search for an Assistant Accountant to join their impressive Finance Function based in Central London. Reporting into the Financial Controller, this newly created position of Assistant Accountant will be asked with all revenue invoicing with the responsibility of maintaining the financial ledgers (AP/AR) for multiple entities along with maintaining internal controls.

Further tasks include:
• Assisting with the preparation of Management accounts
• Reconciling and monitoring rechargeable expenses between group companies
• Calculating monthly accruals, prepayments
• Assisting with the monthly P&L sheet
• Assisting with the production of the annual budget and monthly management accounts

The ideal candidate will have experience with working in a similar role for 3-4 years and general ledger experience. You will be able to deliver on tight deadlines with the ability to partner with other support functions. In addition, you'll be actively studying towards and accounting qualification (AAT / CIMA / ACCA) with a proactive mindset and can-do attitude.
