Management accountant role responsible for producing quality, timely financial management information to the University and you will also take a leading role in improving and developing management information.

Description

• Responsible for preparing monthly budget monitoring reports showing spend, budgets and variances.

• Responsible for leading the VAT quarterly returns process and submissions.

• Delivering a consolidated university wide management, information service covering Plan, and Monthly management information processes ensuring accurate and timely outputs.

• Liaise with senior stakeholders and FP&A team to deliver monthly consolidated budget and forecast.

• Leading reports on financial performance on all student courses and performing cost analysis on business.

• Lead meetings to advise senior stakeholders on the financial position of their budgets and projects.

• You will be responsible for presenting management reports from Departments to the Finance Manager to assist with decision making.

• Work with the Finance Manager in preparing all financial plans as part of the Universities planning round.

Profile

• Fully qualified accountant ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA with the ability to speak with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience working in the higher education is desirable.
• Self-motivated individual with a strong technical and analytical accounting skills.
• Self-motivated person who has a keen eye for details.
