Management Accountant position responsible for a variety of financial tasks, such as preparing material for consolidated financial statements and liaising with internal and external auditors, partnering with departments to deliver projects, and contributing to the Museum-wide budgeting process.

Our client is a highly reputable museum in In London which has a collection of over 6 million objects under one roof allowing visitors to explore the extraordinary diversity of human cultures, from small communities to vast empires, spanning continents and oceans.

Description

  • You will be responsible for preparing year-end financial statements, reports and papers for subsidiaries and related entities, acting as main point of contact for auditors.
  • Responsible for keeping up with HMRC changes and advising the Museum on the implications and on recommended actions. Alongside advising other departments on the tax implications of projects and possible new initiatives.
  • You will be working with five other management accountants and accounts processing team to provide best practice accounting processes, and reporting services to all Museum staff
  • Ensuring compliance with donor restrictions, reporting individual funds and leading on the preparation of accurate quarterly forecasts.
  • You will be responsible for the preparation of information for regular and ad hoc returns to DCMS and other external bodies, contribute to annual procedure and policy updates.
  • Maintaining delegations of authority, and reports on the finance system while preparing information for internal reports and papers, which includes corporate risk register
  • You will be responsible for preparing online management report for subsidiaries.

Profile

  • Our client is looking for an individual who is keen on the arts/heritage sector or has experience working within it.
  • Exam qualified accountant ACCA, CIMA, CCAB, CIPFA with the ability to present financial information to senior and non-financial staff on all required level.
  • Strong attention to detail, and problem-solving initiative who can prioritise workload appropriately.

Job Offer

£46,000 - £50,000
