We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Payables career opportunity within the Finance team of our Trinidad office. The selected candidate must have a broad knowledge of accounting and finance concepts and utilize independent judgment to complete assignments and resolve issues relating to Accounts Payables. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the following:

Responsibilities
  • Processing of payments in accordance with the company policy
  • Ensure invoices are approved and processed in accordance with the company policy
  • Perform general accounting activities including reconciliation and analysis of accounts payable general ledger accounts
  • Review of payments
  • Preparation of vendor reconciliation statements and following up on outstanding items
  • Generate reports related to Accounts Payables
  • Enter journals related to Accounts Payables transactions
  • Timely preparation of Statutory payments
  • Provide information for cash flow statements
  • Assist with the accurate and timely close of accounting cycle related to Accounts Payables
  • Assist with special projects as required and any other ad hoc duties that may arise

  • The ability to identify and resolve issues that impact the deliverable of Accounts Payables
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A positive, "can-do" attitude and approach to responsibilities; the ability to assist and support leadership in addressing new challenges and changes
  • Strong teamwork, collaboration, and support skills across different organizational teams


To qualify, candidates must have:
  • Currently pursuing a professional accounting qualification i.e. ACCA, CA, CIMA, CPA
  • Approximately 3-5 years' Accounts Payable experience in a professional environment
  • Ability to understand the expectations of customers and deliver quality service within the policy guidelines
