About you

To support RGP's continuous growth, we have immediate openings in our Hong Kong practice for IFRS9 Professionals who are passionate in business consulting, innovative, result-driven, and people-oriented.

Your key responsibilities

  • Identify, analyze and assess the impacts/dependencies and design possible solutions for supporting the new IFRS 9 requirements
  • Work with stakeholders, workstreams, such as investment, accounting, actuarial, and solution team to ensure the system implementation follows the new requirements, particularly in the investment-related accounting and regulatory reporting areas
  • Carry out mockup testing for business units
  • Work collaboratively with project team to transition new IFRS 9 processes into the business as usual environment
  • Adhere closely to project timeline and escalate issues in a timely manner
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks as and when required


You know that you can do the job if you have...

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline with CPA/ACCA professional qualification
  • Minimum 8 years of proven experience in a financial reporting and/or investment accounting project lead role within a life assurance/financial services environment
  • Experience in revisiting the financial reporting systems and accounting policies/processes with possible impacts on asset-liability management and investment management
  • Good understanding of IFRS 9 regulatory requirements
  • Ability to work through tight deadlines
  • Detail-oriented and both a good team player and team leader
  • Effective communication skills to articulate complex concepts in a concise manner to varying audiences
