Description

Responsible for leading operations finance processes along with providing financial decision support to the Americas Region of Baxter’s ISC organization. Included is providing proactive decision support, financial expertise, and solutions to help the region achieve objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Partner with COE to coordinate the comprehensive Americas Manufacturing planning and reporting processes - operating plans, monthly reporting analysis, and weekly estimates to plans / forecasts.
  • Provide proactive leadership for site controllers through the newly designed AOP process for 2023. Drive adherence to the new process to ensure consistency across plants.
  • Lead consolidations, through partnership with COE and plants, of regional roll-ups and presentations (AOP, results, forecasts, etc…).
  • Provide financial modeling / business decision support to regional leadership team.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and Baxter Financial Policies and Procedures.
  • Duties may shift upon finalization of organization design

Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:

  • Demonstration of key finance competencies and leadership capabilities with 8 or more years of experience.
  • Strong business acumen and judgment as well as understanding of relevant business environment.
  • Ability to effectively influence and drive consensus with diverse stakeholders; demonstrated ability to manage multiple, competing priorities.
  • Experience leading cost accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting / forecasting activities
  • Experience with managing and developing others
  • Decisive leadership, with ability to generate ideas, develop alternatives, rapidly decide upon best course of action and drive implementation of that decision.
  • Strong negotiation, interpersonal communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable working in ERP software (JDE) and experience in Excel, Power Point, Word
  • Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or country equivalent).
  • CPA and/or MBA preferred.
  • Demonstration of key finance competencies and qualifications and typically 8 or more years of experience with emphasis in cost accounting and budgeting.
