Middle office Team

The HedgeServ Global Middle Office is located in Dublin, Krakow, New York, Dallas and Sydney. Due to the explosive growth, we are looking to grow our Middle Office presence further in Europe. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to join our team at a very early stage and play a key role in this growth and development.

Job Description

The Middle Office Team in HedgeServ performs all trading desk support responsibilities required of large Multi-Strategy Hedge Funds. The Middle Office Operations Analyst will work within the Middle Office team on such functions as electronic trade/deal capture; confirmation and settlements; issues resolution; cash and collateral management; technology development and valuations processing. The position will expose the Middle Office Operations Analyst to all financial markets and products traded globally, including Equity, Fixed Income, FX to more highly complex derivative instruments. The Middle Office Junior Operations Analyst will get huge exposure to live trading experience through our Portfolio Management System which is used by the Trading teams. The position boosts a very wide range of tasks across all facets of the trading cycle.

Key Accountabilities of the Role

• Work closely with your team daily to ensure accurate trade capture and confirmation.
• Monitor trade settlement and work to resolve settlement issues.
• Interact daily with external parties (brokers, prime brokers, clients) on agreed deliverables and/or trade related queries.
• The review and resolution of daily cash and position reconciliations breaks.
• Assist the NAV teams in any queries regarding trades or pricing
• Work closely with the various global Middle Office team to ensure client service expectation are met.
• Pre-requisite knowledge, skills and experience
• Completed a bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or finance
• Knowledge of various key financial products, (e.g. Equities, Options, Futures, Fixed Income and various derivatives)
• Strong Excel skills and comprehension
