Discover the role

The Senior Tax Specialist will be part of a dynamic A&T department, providing Italian tax services to a wide range of foreign clients. The Senior Tax Specialist has a solid understanding of Italian tax legislation and will be able to perform several tax fulfillments for residents/non-residents clients with efficient, professional, and high-quality services. 

You will be able to see the Italian tax system A-Z, and will be supported for growth by more senior members of the team and the TMF Business Academy curriculum in a motivating work environment with lots of flexibility, freedom, and personal responsibility, flat hierarchies with direct contact to management and international exchange.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the accounting, tax, and corporate services for Italian companies and subsidiaries of multinational groups, ensuring work is completed in a timely and accurate manner and acting as a day-to-day contact for clients;
  • Responsible for the management of yearly tax compliance (CIT return, VAT return, WHT return, CNM tax return);
  • Responsible for the preparation of statutory and consolidated financial statements, including additional notes and management reports, yearly corporate income taxes (IRES, IRAP), property taxes, corporate duties, and the periodic VAT-WHT compliance;
  • Responsible for supporting the Client Controller in the finalization of the year-end Management Accounts and performing the year-end accruals, including local GAP/IFRS adjustments. Supervising monthly reporting packages to clients;
  • Liaise with the Client Head Quarter for review of accounting ledgers and performing adjustments in compliance with the Italian Law;
  • Review the drafting of shareholders and board of directors resolutions -  Italian and English version, monitoring and taking care of the yearly mandatory filings;
  • Assistance for incorporation of SPVs, registration of branches, transfer of shares or branch of business, winding up of companies

About you

  • Chartered Accountant (Qualified tax professional)
  • Fluent in English both written and spoken
  • 5-10 years experiences in similar Organizations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Strong analytical and technical skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and manage several tasks for different clients
  • Resourceful, independent, and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and communication skills, with a strong ability to plan ahead and organize themselves
