Accountant - Educational Institute (Payroll, Up to 30k)

Client Details

Out client is a local educational institute established for over 50 years with more than 20,000 students and 1,000 staff this year. Currently, they are seeking for an Assistant Accountant to join their team to work in an expanding business to cope with the development planning.

Description

• Handle daily accounting operations including processing payments and payroll, staff, MPF and, tax filling and clearance of staff
• Review and verify payment related tax filling with ensuring compliance with relevant statutory requirements and regulations.
• Perform staff cost analysis for management and funding bodies
• Handle and respond to users' enquiries on payroll, retirement schemes and tax related matters timely and appropriately
• Assist the Finance Manager in developing and implementing new or revised payroll policies, procedures, and system enhancement

Profile

• Degree holder in Accounting and Finance or equivalent
• Member of professional accounting qualifications (HKICPA, ACCA, CPAA) is preferred
• Minimum of three years' experience in accounting, auditing or other related fields, with experience in payroll operations and staff benefits being an advantage
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Mandarin)
• Proficiency in MS Office software
• Team player
