DESCRIPTION

Do you want to play a crucial role in building analytics solutions that improve safety and deliver great customer experiences in Last Mile? Our team designs and builds the metrics that thousands of Delivery Service Partners (DSPs) small businesses use to manage their business, motivate their drivers, improve safety, and deliver great customer experiences.

In this role, you'll work with dozens of datasets to understand how the Amazon Last Mile network is performing, and use analytics and modelling to optimize our metrics and understand key trends. You will create the roadmap and build new dashboards for a rapidly growing business to illuminate data for stakeholders. You will be responsible for customer-facing analytics reporting and tools and ensure accuracy, quality, and timeliness.

This role can be based in London, Luxembourg, or Munich.

Key job responsibilities
  • Create new powerful visualization and modelling tools to analyze Last Mile DSP performance metrics
  • Design, develop and maintain scaled, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, dashboards, etc. that will support our business needs
  • Assess, optimize and create evaluation models that we use to assess individual business performance
  • Deliver insights and participate in tactical and strategic planning discussions
  • Create new metrics to manage a new and rapidly growing business
  • Invent tools that focus on automation and scaling
  • Lead QA and User Acceptance Testing of new data and metrics
  • Continually improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes, automating or simplifying self-service analytics for customers
  • Lead complex data analysis and maintain regular metrics reporting to help stakeholders gain insights into the program
  • Work with partner data science and technical development teams to optimize their products
  • Create high quality written communication and present to leadership for decision making
A day in the life
The Business Analyst will spend most of their time diving into the data to understand trends, identify outliers, and develop insights to inform our plans. They'll use these insights to find areas of improvement and create new models so we can optimize how we drive system performance. They'll develop forecasts so we can better predict future performance. Finally, they'll engage with business stakeholders to align on and implement improvements and new processes/tools.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Work experience in a role requiring application of analytic skills to do data modelling, forecasting, and statistical analysis
  • Experience working with visualization tools such as Tableau, QuickSight, Qlik View to data elements
  • Experience working with SQL
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially relating to quantitative topics discussed with non-technical colleagues
  • Ability to influence multiple stakeholders across diverse functional areas to align roadmap and priorities
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with ability to balance competing priorities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Project Management experience and/or Tech product management experience.
  • Track record of providing concise, clear communication to senior stakeholders.
  • Experience building end to end solutions to performance measurement and process improvement in a transportation, logistics or supply chain setting.
  • Experience implementing basic software solutions to automate data source, visualization and/or data modeling.
  • Experience with AWS services or equivalent
