As a member of the Internal Audit department, we want you to share our passion about adding value to our people, customers, communities and stakeholders, providing robust independent assurance and challenge on the effectiveness of processes and controls across the bank and having exposure to senior stakeholders across our global organisation.

The difference you'll make.

  • Performing assurance activities to assess the management and control of risk, ensuring that all work undertaken meets agreed timescales and complies with quality requirements.
  • Managing relationships and influencing key stakeholders across the business and collaborating with other teams as required.
  • Meeting tight deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Supporting the communication of difficult messages to different audiences by producing quality outputs that can be relied upon.

What you'll bring.

  • Good understanding of risks and controls, either as an auditor or IT professional.
  • Hands-on experience of:
  • IT control assessments; or
  • SQL and programming languages (C#, Java, Python, JCL, etc.); or
  • Key concepts relating to access controls, network configuration and design including firewall rules, traffic analysis and port scanning.
  • It would also be nice for you to have.
  • Degree qualification in a relevant field such as IT or business risk management.
  • Knowledge and/or experience of major payment schemes (e.g. BACS, CHAPS, Link, etc.) and the annual certification process required of scheme members
  • Studying towards a professional qualification such as the CISA, CISM or CRISC
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry such as the Retail, Wholesale and Corporate & Commercial businesses.

What else you need to know.

This is a permanent role with hybrid working model. You will be required to attend office 1-2 days per week.
