Knock House Hotel are seeing a self-driven and energetic Hotel Financial Controller to participate in the Financial Mgmt of this busy Boutique Hotel. Along with all the usual attributes associated with this role as mentioned below, the successful candidate will be expected to be innovative and flexible and have the capacity to re-engineer the role as required. Your ability to lead and inspire those whom you work with is essential and you will need to demonstrate this with experience.
- managing the accounts department in the oversight of cash, debtors, creditors and payroll
- ensuring accurate and timely Returns to Revenue
- assessing and promoting financial reporting controls to ensure accuracy and verifications key figures
- mentoring existing accounts personnel as required
- ensuring accurate reporting of daily and weekly sales
- overseeing the preparation of monthly management accounts
- accurate maintenance of the Balance Sheet, including FAR and nominal reconciliation
- preparation of cashflow forecasts and P&L projections
- liaising with internal and external auditors
- liaising with members of Management within the Hotel
Requirements
Minimum 3-Years experience Hotel Financial Controller.
Professional Accounting Qualification or 3rd Level Business Degree
Ambitious and self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines
Capacity for understanding the business dynamic, compilation, and interpretation of financial data
Understanding of control procedures; accounting standards and tax laws
Aptitude for forecasting, budgeting and communication of business requirements to operational management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lead, develop & motivate a team.
Very computer literate with a high-level understanding of Excel.
