Senior Financial Accountant

This role is a key position with progression prospects in this international Pharmaceutical business, reporting into the SSC in Ireland.

My client is a large and well known brand in the Pharmaceutical space, this section is based in Abingdon and reports into a shared service centre in Ireland.

Description

The new Senior Financial Accountant will be:

• Ownership of the preparation of Monthly Financial Reports, Annual Financial Statements and any other internal or external reports required
• Preparation, analysis and posting of journals / balance sheet reconciliations at month end
• Calculation, posting and analysis of monthly accruals and prepayments Review and reconciliation of inter-company accounts, involving communication with other business locations worldwide
• Provide cost information to management and other departments as required Leading the year-end process with external audit staff and review procedures and local statutory audits as required
• Ensure adherence of processes to company's policies and procedures
• Drive process improvement reviews across current finance structure

Profile

The successful Senior Financial Accountant will have:

• Accounting qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
• Third Level Degree or equivalent Relevant experience - preferably with Shared Service Centre and multinational corporation background
• Oracle or other major ERP Systems experience is desirable essential
• Ability to manage conflicting priorities and tight deadlines in an always changing environment
• Able to work alone to understand and summarise financial data
• Strong computer skills especially MS Office (Advanced Excel)
• Be an effective team player

Job Offer

On offer for the Senior Financial Accountant is a salary of £50,000 - £55,000 along with:
