Description of business unit

The Regulatory Credit Reporting Team is part of Group Financial Control and is responsible for the support and maintenance of existing Credit reporting processes as well as development of new reporting while driving operational efficiency, improved quality and insights through rationalisation, standardisation and automation of the reporting stock.

You will need to amalgamate, mobilise and motivate their team to support a wide range of credit reporting requirements covering regulatory, statutory and internal management reporting. On an ongoing basis the role holder will be required to fulfil the team's reporting stock while continuously seeking opportunities to standardise reporting, improve efficiency, develop consistent report delivery methods and constructively challenge reporting demands.

Purpose of the Role

The successful candidate will lead a specialist team of reporting analysts. The role holder will lead the team in supporting business performance through deployment of appropriate data sets, reports and MI as well as improving current processes to deliver operational efficiencies as well as supporting Strategic Group data and reporting projects.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead a team of 8, supporting a wide range of reporting and data processes.
  • Optimally lead, develop and empower the team, ensuring delivery against objectives and improve team and individual performance / potential.
  • Proactively identify and implement opportunities for operational improvement
  • Develop quality and collaborative relationships with key internal collaborators.
  • Drive the engagement on credit reporting and data connected asks.
  • Accountable for maintaining a strong risk management approach to the team's work and driving a risk mitigation culture throughout the team.
  • Rigorously handle the relevant MI outcomes ensuring the completeness and timeliness of robust reporting and analysis to finance services, the business and other partners.

This job can be done anywhere in Republic Of Ireland with the primary office location as Baggot Plaza in Dublin, to which travel may be required for in person collaboration. Exact frequency and location to be agreed with line manager.

Essential Qualifications

  • 3rd level qualification in Statistics, Data Analytics or other numerical subject area.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven track record in people management with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with colleagues at all levels.
  • Knowledge and experience of Bank of Ireland's core banking systems, data, applications and developing reports in tools such as Tableau would be a significant advantage.
  • SAS and or SQL coding experience is an advantage.
  • Flexible and self-motivated teammate with the ability to handle opposing priorities to tight timeframes.
  • Demonstrated experience of delivery of high quality value-adding MI reporting.
  • High energy, bias for action, strive for results, strong resilience and focus on execution excellence.
  • Excellent interpersonal and strong communication skills with the ability to clearly deliver compelling, well-structured arguments, articulate ideas and concepts.
