This is your opportunity to join a dynamic and creative organisation who have offices across ANZ and are looking for a hand-on Finance and Operations Manager to join the organisation on a part-time basis.
Your new role
This newly created role comes with autonomy and would be well-suited to an individual who is seeking a healthy work-life balance. The main purpose of the role will be for you to provide support to the senior leadership team in regards to financial matters and project performance. Duties will be as below -
Financial Management
- Preparing and maintaining a rolling forecast for the Wellington branch
- Attending weekly management meetings to present on financial performance
- Identifying and discussing areas of potential risk
- Mapping project cash-flows
- Prepayments and accruals
- Reviewing and approving invoices, managing any queries and corrections
- Undertaking project profitability reviews
- Providing assistance, analysis and recommendations in relation to project fees, client/consultant agreements and programmes
- Working with project teams to manage cash-flow and make predictions on trends
Contract & Sub-contractor Management
- Assisting with documenting and negotiation of contracts
- Prepare supporting information for and if required engage in the negotiation process with respect to variations and fees.
- Help in preparing responses required to resolve contractual conflicts or claims
- Assist with establishing, documenting and negotiating appropriate scope and fees splits with consultants and sub-contractors
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in this role, you must have previously worked in a similar role with the ability to hit the ground running. It would be ideal if you are able to start on short-notice however the organisation are willing to wait for the right candidate if needed.
