Job Purpose
The role of Project Accountant is really important to us. You will be responsible for bring further integrity, rigour and development to our financial planning processes as the business evolves.

We would love to welcome you to our Crewe HQ, working hours of Monday-Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm.

Your responsibilities day to day will be...
  • Reviewing budgets, including staffing, work plans, and fee structures.
  • Establish and formalise a financial governance structure for all group IT projects
  • Providing project managers and key stakeholders with timely financial reports and budgets, as well as project forecasts.
  • Working closely with project management to prepare and review business plans
  • Providing accounting advice to non-finance surrounding capitalisation policies
  • Preparation of monthly reporting packs, ensuring accurate and timely reporting into the CAPEX committee and similar senior stakeholder forums.
  • Analyse internal and external spend to ensure both compliance with accounting policies as well as reviewing return on investments
  • Working collaboratively with project sponsors providing supporting analysis on a timely basis
  • Assist with other ad hoc projects as required
  • Working proactively with the wider Finance team in providing process and data improvements; and
  • Providing coaching to other members of the team.
What do we expect of you?
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ ACCA / CIMA) is desirable
  • Excel and modelling skills, preferably advance level
  • In-depth knowledge of best practices in accounting
  • Experience of working in a project role desirable
  • Experience of working within a fast-paced entrepreneurial business desirable
